Cruelty-free beauty advent calendars

As always, there's been a huge hype around beauty advent calendars as we approach Christmas - there are an array of options available, but it can be a little difficult to steer the market if you choose to go cruelty-free. Unfortunately we have to avoid the multiple-brand offerings as I'm yet to find one that features all cruelty-free products, but there's some great ones from some of my favourite brands that would make a great gift or a treat for yourself. Let's do this...

Dr Hauschka - £75.00
This little number is a new one on me, but I haven't really seen it featured anywhere so it's a nice one to consider. At 75 quid it's pretty pricey, but it includes 23 trial-sized products and one full-size one from the skincare brand, which are generally at a fairly high price point. I haven't tried much from them at all so it would be a great way to introduce someone to their range - after a little browse on their website I want to try everything! Available here.

Lush - £49.95
Any self-respecting cruelty-free beauty devotee (or any beauty lover in general, really) would love to get their hands on the Lush advent calendar, filled with 12 bath and body treats to make bath-time that little bit more lovely. There's a nice mix of bath bombs, lotions and shower products to make this varied enough, although I think it would be nice to have some of their skincare or makeup offering in there too. Completely vegan as well - bonus points! Available here.
Makeup Revolution - £50.00
This is one of my favourites - 25 full-sized products! It'd make a great gift for a teenager or someone who loves their high-street makeup. Makeup Revolution make brilliant, good-quality, bargain products in loads of fun colours. Keep your eye out for offers on this one at both Superdrug and the Makeup Revolution website - I've seen it go down to half-price once already! Available here.

No7 - £38.00
Probably the best bargain of the lot, the No7 25 Days of Beauty Wonders Advent Calendar is out of stock online, unfortunately, but keep an eye out for it in your local Boots! With an array of treats including skincare, makeup, nail polishes and tools in nice generous sizes, you really do get a lot of bang for your buck - No7 is such an under-rated brand in my opinion, so this is a great opportunity to try it. Link is here but check your local store for availability!

The Body Shop* - £60.00
Another great one in terms of variety, The Body Shop's offering is just as tempting as always for 2015 - there's even some makeup brushes in there which is amazing! A mixture of full-sizes and generous miniatures means your bound not to be disappointed when you open up each door. Available here.
Charlotte Tilbury - £150
And finally, it's the goddess of all beauty advent calendars - the Charlotte Tilbury Book of Makeup Magic. And that's exactly what it is - magical. At 150 quid, this is expensive, but to get 12 premium products at that price I think is pretty good - there's two lipsticks in there, plus loads of her coveted skincare and eye makeup products. I don't think anyone could resist this! Available here.

*The Body Shop is a cruelty-free brand, but is owned by a parent company, L'Oreal, that isn't.
